Four Winds

How it plays

This is the real four-player game, the one played around a table, not tile-matching solitaire. You sit down with three regulars from the club, each with their own face and their own way of playing, and pick a Gentle, Regular or Sharp table. Choose Hong Kong rules (13 tiles, scored in faan) or Taiwanese rules (16 tiles, scored in tai) for each game. New to mahjong? Auntie Mei walks you through a practice hand one move at a time, and hints show which of your tiles belong together, why you can claim a tile, and what you are waiting for.

The club and the Club Pass

Every hand earns club points, which climb the ranks from Newcomer to Grand Master, and the Hand Book collects each scoring pattern you make. Both rule sets, hints, and the Gentle and Regular tables are always free. The Club Pass, a single purchase, opens the Sharp table at any rank, full four-round games, replaying a lost deal, and more table colors. Nothing you can buy makes a hand stronger, and there is no real-money play of any kind.
